Holiday Meeting Time!

It’s that time of year again! It’s our annual Holiday meeting. We combine our November Thanksgiving month with our December Christmas month for one meeting of food, fun and sharing. Our meeting is December 6th at 7 o’clock. We meet at Sugar Hill United Methodist Church in room 160. Please join us for our fun celebration. Bring a snack to share if you’d like!

October Meeting

We normally meet on the 4th Tuesday of the month, but because of the incredible opportunity we had at the beginning of September to host Tiffany Colter, we moved our September meeting date up to the 7th. We will be back on meeting track in October when we will meet on October 25th at 7:00 pm at Sugar Hill United Methodist Church.

We are so happy to have Amy Wallace speaking at our October meeting. Amy has a heart for teaching. It’s always special to have Amy share with us. So please make sure you mark October 25th on your calendar.

September Meeting!!

Hi all–We’re deviating from our normal schedule in September. The reason? We have a special guest coming to speak to our group.

We have the pleasure of welcoming Tiffany Colter.

Meeting date? September 7th–a Wednesday.

Time? Normal time–7:00 pm

Place? Normal place–Sugar Hill United Methodist Church room 160.

August Meeting

Okay–the summer has flown by. August is here–we had a great brainstorming session in July! It’s always fun to gather and talk writing-stories-and it’s fun to add plot lines and twists to existing stories.

Our August meeting we welcome NYT Best selling author Karen White. Her current release, The Beach Trees, is amazing. Karen has penned a lot of novels and we are looking forward to hearing anything she has to say.

April Meeting

April showers bring May flowers? In Georgia we’ve had plenty of March showers-so maybe we’ll see some April flowers. That would be nice.We had a great March meeting with Missy Tippens.

Now we’re gearing up for our April meeting. April 26th at 7:00 pm. We welcome author and speaker Susan Norris.

Susan is a Bible teacher, motivational speaker, and author. She is a graduate of CLASSeminars. Her passion is to lead others into an intimate relationship with Jesus through prayer and the study of God’s Word and help them apply those principles to relationships in their sphere of influence. Susan lives in Marietta, Georgia with her husband and two children.

Come and join us for our March Meeting. Missy Tippens will be presenting The Moral Premise, by Stanley D Williams.

Missy Tippens is a pastor’s wife and mom of three who lives near Atlanta. After ten years of pursuing her dream, she made her first sale of a full-length novel to Love Inspired in 2007. She still pinches herself to see if it really happened! Her novels have been finalists in the American Christian Fiction Writers Book of the Year Contest, the Gayle Wilson Award of Excellence and the Bookseller’s Best Award. Missy has been a member of ACFW since 2005 and is currently serving her third year as Secretary of the W.O.R.D. chapter.

2011 Is Almost Here

2011—Here it comes! And we are ready!! We have such an exciting line-up of speakers and programs for next year. I can’t wait to get started.

Coming in January is author Lynette Eason! Lynette will be talking about the publishing journey and other topics. Our January meeting is Tuesday, January 25th, at 7 o’clock at Sugar Hill United Methodist Church. Hope to see you there.
