It’s August. Kids are back in school, but the heat is still here. And we are heating up in August too with author Cindy Woodsmall. She’s going to be instructing us on “The Twist” for our August meeting.
The meeting starts at 7:00 pm at the Sugar Hill United Methodist Church. Meeting date August 24th.

We had a great meeting in May with speaker David Putman-the author of 3 non-fictions books. David was really motivating and inspired us to follow Jesus in all we do.
On June 22nd we are pleased to have Jennifer Hudson-Taylor join us. She’ll be discussing The Art of Research for Yesterday and Today. Jennifer’s first novel, Highland Blessing, was released May 1st to great reviews!
Also, on June 22nd, Gina Holmes will be signing her book at the Books-A-Million at Discover Mills at 6:00. Please join us as we gather there before our meeting to support Gina and the release of her first novel, Crossing Oceans.
We had a great time at our March meeting. Agent Melissa Jeglinski was wonderful and very informative. We all learned a lot and laughed a good bit, too.
We are pleased to present author Steeple Hill Love Inspired Suspense author Debby Guisti in April. She will be presenting the program Building Suspense In Any Genre.Come join us on Tuesday April 27th.
We are very pleased to have agent Melissa Jeglinski from The Knight Agency visit us for our March meeting. Melissa has gracously agreed to talk to us and answers questions we might have. This is a great opportunity to find out current information regarding the writing and publishing world.

Yes, 2010 is here. Three months in already!
We started our year off with teachings on the inner and outer journeys. We have a really great schedule for the rest of our meetings. We hope you can come and join us.
And we are growing! Yeah, God! We’ve had to change rooms to accomodate our growing group. The more people writing for the glory of God, the more glory He will receive.
Our October meeting promises to be great! Creston Mapes will be our speaker. He’s going to talk about how to make a living as a writer.

Happy summer!! It is getting hot here in Georgia and so are our WORD meetings. In May we had the great pleasure of hosting Nora St. Laurent. She thrilled us all with her stories and gave us all the inside scoop on Book Clubs. There’s a whole lot more to Book Clubs than reading books. Thanks to Nora for all her insight. We had a lot of fun.Our next meeting we welcome our President Amy Wallace as she teaches part one of a two part workshop titled Getting Your Foot In The Door. Amy normally teaches this with Cindy Woodsmall and Cindy will be joining Amy at our July meeting. This is a great opportunity for all. Amy will be discussing POV, showing verses telling and we are told to be prepared to participate!! Sounds like fun to me.Please join us.
We had a really great meeting in April with Brandt Dodson. A lot of folks came and we kept him busy with questions after his talk on characterization. It was very informative and Brandt is a very nice guy. We enjoyed having him.
This month Nora St. Laurent is joining us to talk about bookclubs. Norah is the bookclub coordinator for Lifeway and leads a number of large and thriving clubs. We are looking forward to seeing Norah and you at our next meeting.
It’s almost time for our April meeting, but before we go into what that’s all about we wanted to share about our March meeting. David Wallace came and gave us the ins and outs and ups and downs and everything else we needed to know about everything web related. He gave us info on websites, blogs, enewsletters, book trailers and more. He was an amazing speaker and source of information. We were thrilled to have him.Please join us for our April meeting.
